The Rosengarten has been UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2009 and for this reason dureing the Rosengarten Schlern Skymarathon the respectful treatment of nature is more important than sporting ambition.
Each participant should bring their own drinking cup with them, as food and drink is administered unpackaged at the refreshment stations along the route in order to avoid rubbish. It is forbidden to throw away rubbish and leads to disqualification.
