The seventh edition of the Skymarathon Rosengarten Schlern will take place on 13 July 2024. You can still save on registration until 31 May. A maximum of 500 runners can start in Tiers, with local hero Daniel Pattis taking part for the first time this year.
Currently, athletes from 20 nations are registered and the organizers are looking forward to the international field of participants as well as a high proportion of runners from the region, who will face the challenge of the 45 kilometres without asphalt and 3000 meters of elevation gain or 36 kilometres and 2,000 meters of elevation gain.
Andreas Reiterer, the runner-up world champion, has so far been the only one to achieve this challenge on the long distance under a time of five hours. For safety reasons, the recommended guideline for all participants is to be at the checkpoint at the Cigolade Pass by 12.00 noon at the latest. Runners on the long course, on the other hand, must have passed the checkpoint in the Grasleiten basin by 12.30 pm; if this is not the case, the race number can be communicated to the marshals in order to be included in the classification for the short distance and not be disqualified.
This run supported by Dynafit is not a mass event, but an insider tip for trail runners in the UNESCO World Heritage Site Rosengarten Schlern.
